B-movie;) compression efficiencyThursday, 26 July, 2001 14:02For today I added a link site under vm section. The sites mentioned there were the places where I got all information without I couldn't have written any code at all. Concerning B-movie;), I got a 500(!!!) frames testmovie running that is compressed to under 21% of original size. I couldn't believe that, but it's true. This movie will serve as an best case example in a B-movie;) promotion video(on VM of course), that I will release soon to demonstrate the efficient use of B-movie;). As I mentioned before, encoding is not a problem any longer because the tools are finished but decoding on VM currently misses proper backward playing. It's probably not much to do to solve the problem but to find it is the hard thing. |
